Help With Belize Ideas?

We are considering a trip to Belize.

Sierra Club offers one for about $3,000 for eight days or so.

Most of our travelling has been independent, but we are open to joining
a tour.

Our questions are:

Are the Sierra Club tours well done?

Is this price reasonable or very expensive?

Are there other good tour companies that we might explore?

How would it be to just go there and hire tour operators as we need them?

Check with a travel agent, if you are a AAA auto club member see what
they offer. You haven't mentioned what Sierra Club offers for $3,000.
Does that include hotel, excursions, meals, and ground transport to/from
the airport? How many are traveling?
