Wouldn't it depend somewhat on how they get fuel to the airport? I haven't
been to Bermuda, but couldn't boats shuttle people across the gap in the
causeway? Getting cars and trucks across is another thing, though.

It also depends on how long the span that's washed out is. I know that you
can put down metal decking plates to cover spans of certain lengths, it's
just what they have might not be long enough (or easy to get there).
Still, I'd be surprised if they couldn't get something that WAS long
enough there in a few days, even if it had to sail from Virginia. That
would allow one-lane causeway traffic while repairing the other side.

There IS a US naval air base on the other side of Bermuda. It doesn't have
nearly as big an airstrip (though I can't find any useful information
about what it does have). In times like this, that will mean that they'll
have some easier ways to re-supply because they'll have a second place
they may be able to use for certain kinds of flights.
