Fiesta Americana Cancun / did nearby construction end?

I'm planning to return to the Fiesta Americana Cancun hotel during
mid October, but I just read a Tripadvisor warning
from someone that went there last June who said that a major new
hotel is being constructed nextdoors : (

As I like the Fiesta Americana, and if I do not go to Cancun the only option
I can
think of is Aruba (I just went there last May and it's too far to LA to go
back too soon)
I'll appreciate any info regarding the construction stage status.

My hope is that it would be finished around October, or at least the mayor
and more noisy stage of the construction could be over, but I must
be sure about that as I can't trust what the hotel staff could tell me if I
phone
them.

If someone went there recently, or if someone knows for sure about
this, please let me know.
