Adria Airways (JP/Ljubljana) will start three times weekly CRJ-200
service from Ljubljana to Ohrid on March 29. Aer Arann (RE/Dublin) is reportedly interested in taking over Aurigny Air Services (GR/Guernsey). Aeroflot (SU/Moscow Sheremetyevo) has signed a codeshare agreement with Korean Air (KE/Seoul Incheon). The two carriers will operate a total of ten weekly flights between Moscow Sheremetyevo and Seoul Incheon this summer season. Aigle Azur (ZI/Paris Orly) has leased the ex-Air Ivoire (VU/Abidjan) A321-200. Air A!ps (A6/Innsbruck) has given up its Brescia-Rome Fiumicino route. Air Atlanta Iceland (CC/Reykjavik Keflavik) has leased another ex-Singapore Airlines (SQ/Singapore Changi) B747-400. It has wet-leased a B767-300ER to Jetlink (Nairobi Intl). Air Berlin (AB/Berlin Tegel) will give up its Munich-Budapest route on March 17 and its Nuremberg-Vienna and Palma de Mallorca-Murcia routes by the end of April. It will launch six times weekly B737-700 service from Berlin Tegel to Amsterdam on May 1. It is reportedly considering adding a new route from Berlin Tegel to Graz. Air Dolomiti (EN/Trieste) will lease three ex-Flightline (B5/Southend) and two ex-Aer Lingus (EI/Dublin) BAe 146-300s. It will operate twice weekly seasonal services from Genoa to Alghero, from Verona to Tortoli and weekly flights from Genoa to Olbia and from Milan Linate to Tortoli using a mix of ATR 42s and ATR 72s between June and September. Air Europa (UX/Palma de Mallorca) is planning to add two weekly B767-300ER services between Madrid and Fortaleza to its network in September. It is reportedly interested in taking a stake in Argentinean carrier Southern Winds (A4/Cordoba). Air France (AF/Paris CDG) will start five times weekly A330-200 service from Paris CDG to Bangalore on October 31. The French national carrier has signed a codeshare agreement with Skyteam partner Continental Airlines (CO/Houston Intcl). The two carriers now codeshare on the Paris CDG to Houston Intcl and New York Newark routes and on several routes from and to these three hub airports. Air Luxor (LK/Lisbon) will launch weekly non-stop A320-200 services from both Faro and Funchal to Paris Orly on April 2. It has given up its plans to add a B747-200 to its fleet and to start flights between Lisbon and Ponta Delgada. Air Madrid (NM/Madrid) will launch a weekly A340-300 service from Madrid to Santiago de Chile on June 15. It is planning to lease an A310-300 and an A330-300. It is reportedly considering starting new routes from Palma de Mallorca to South America. Air Malta (KM/Malta) has signed a codeshare agreement with Qantas (QF/Sydney) for the Malta-London Heathrow-Sydney/Melbourne route. Air Plus Comet (A7/Madrid) will add a fourth ex-Aerolineas Argentinas (AR/Buenos Aires Ezeiza) B747-200 to its fleet later this month. It will also lease a MD-88 from its Argentinean sister company in May. Air Pullmantur (PLM/Madrid) has leased an ex-Air France (AF/Paris CDG) B747-200. Air Scotland (Glasgow Intl) will start twice weekly B757-200 services from Glasgow Intl to Paris CDG on April 1 and from Glasgow Intl to Amsterdam on May 21. Air Service Plus (Pescara) will operate a weekly seasonal flight between Pescara and Zurich from April 1 until October 28 using a BAe 146-200 wet-leased from Axis Airways (6V/Marseilles). Albatros Airways (4H/Tirana) will start twice weekly Fokker 100 services from Tirana to Genoa and Pescara on March 27. Alitalia (AZ/Rome Fiumicino) will start twice daily MD-82 service from Rome Fiumicino to Milan Orio al Serio on May 5. Daily MD-82 service from Venice Marco Polo to Cagliari will start on June 1. Alpi Eagles (E8/Venice Marco Polo) will start twice daily Fokker 100 service from Verona to Naples as well as daily flights from Milan Linate to Bari and from Verona to Bari and Olbia on March 27. It will also operate a five times weekly seasonal service from Naples to Olbia between June and September. It has however given up its Cuneo-Naples and Cuneo-Paris CDG routes. Amapola Flyg (APF/Stockholm Arlanda) has acquired all three ex-Luxair (LG/Luxembourg) Fokker 50s. It is planning to use the aircraft on cargo flights for the Swedish postal service in the future. It will however lease the aircraft to Skyways Express (JZ/Stockholm Arlanda) for several years first. Armenian International Airways (MV/Yerevan) has wet-leased its single A320-200 to Shaheen Air Intl (NL/Karachi). Astraeus (5W/London Gatwick) will lease an ex-Cameroon Airlines (UY/Douala) B757-200. It will also wet-lease an A319-100 from Lotus Air (TAS/Cairo) for the summer season. It will add an ex-Aegean Airlines (A3/Athens) B737-300 by the end of the month which it will operate on a wet-lease basis for Flybe. (BE/Exeter). Austrian Airlines (OS/Vienna) has postponed the launch of its new five times weekly B767-300ER flight between Vienna and Mumbai from May 1 to September 1. It will start five times weekly A319-100 service from Vienna to Alexandria El Nohza on June 5. Aviogenex (JJ/Belgrade) is planning to lease either a B737-300 or a B737-500 to be operated on charter flights. Its fleet of three B727-200s will be put up for sale. B&H Airlines (Sarajevo) has postponed the launch of operations to the end of April. Blue Air (JOR/Bucharest Baneasa) will launch three times weekly B737-300 services from Bucharest Baneasa to Dusseldorf and Rome Ciampino on March 27. It has however given up its domestic route between Bucharest Baneasa and Timisoara. Blue Panorama Airlines (BV/Rome Fiumicino) is reportedly planning to start twice daily B737-400 service from Rome Fiumicino to Bari. bmi british midland (BD/East Midlands) has announced its intention to launch a three times weekly London Heathrow-Riyadh service using A330-200s in May. It will wet-lease a B757-200 from Icelandair (FI/Reykjavik Keflavik) from May 14 to operate its daily Manchester-Washington Dulles route. bmi regional (Aberdeen) will lease an ex-Air Exel ERJ-145 later this month. Carpatair (V3/Timisoara) announced its intention to add a second hub at Constanta and to launch new routes to France, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine. Chalair Aviation (CLG/Caen) will start twice weekdaily Beech 1900 service from Lille to Basle/Mulhouse on March 29. Channel Express (LS/Bournemouth) has wet-leased an MD-82 from JetX (GX/Bologna Forli). Cirrus Airlines (C9/Saarbrucken) has given up its Berne-Berlin Tempelhof and Berne-Vienna routes. City Airline (CF/Gothenburg Landvetter) will start three times weekly ERJ-135 service from Gothenburg Landvetter to Tallinn on March 21. Club Air (6P/Verona) will start four times weekly BAe 146-200 service from Milan Malpensa to Chisinau on March 28. Its three weekly flights between Parma and Brussels will originate and end in Bari as of April 18. It will however give up its Florence-Bari route by the end of March. It is reportedly planning to add new routes from Bari and Verona to Athens and from Verona to Sofia. Croatia Airlines (OU/Zagreb) will launch six times weekly ATR 42-300 service from Split to Munich on March 27. Dau Air (D5/Lübeck) will start operations on April 18 with a single Saab 340. It will operate three daily services between Dortmund and Berlin Tempelhof, six weekly flights from Dortmund to Poznan and two weekly flights from Berlin Tempelhof to Poznan. dba (DI/Munich) will move all weekdaily flights between Cologne/Bonn and Berlin from Tegel to Tempelhof Airport as of May 2. It will operate a total of eight weekdaily Fokker 100 flights on the route; it will continue to operate between Cologne/Bonn and Berlin Tegel on weekends. It will launch twice weekdaily Fokker 100 service from Dusseldorf to Nuremberg on April 6 and a weekly seasonal service from Berlin Tegel to Bastia on May 15. Donbassaero (7D/Donetsk) will lease an ex-Volare Airlines (VA/Verona) A320-200. Dubrovnik Airlines (Dubrovnik) will shortly take delivery of its first MD-82. It will use the aircraft on incoming charter flights from France, Ireland, Spain and Sweden. EAE European Air Express (EA/Moenchengladbach) has given up its Dussseldorf-London City route and will give up its Cologne/Bonn-Kiel route next week. East Airways (Palma de Mallorca) is a new start-up charter carrier planning to start operations later this year with two B737-400s. Eastern Airways (T3/Humberside) has leased a third ex-Swiss (LX/Zurich) Saab 2000. easyJet (U2/London Luton) will launch twice daily A319-100 service from Berlin Schoenefeld to Maastricht on April 13. It will add two daily flights from Berlin Schoenefeld to London Gatwick and daily flights to Milan Linate and Rome Ciampino on September 21. It will however give up its Berlin-Bratislava route on April 12. Estonian Air (OV/Tallinn) will give up its Tallinn-Munich route on April 8. Eurocypria Airlines (UI/Larnaca) will lease an A320-200 from its parent Cyprus Airways (CY/Larnaca) from next month. Euromanx (3W/Isle of Man) has temporarily wet-leased a BAe 146-200 from Flightline (B5/Southend) until it takes delivery of its two ARJ-70s. It will base one of the ARJ-70s in Galway and operate two daily services to London City as well as two weekly flights to Malaga and Paris CDG as of April 18. It will also launch a three times weekly Do328JET service between Southampton and Vienna. Exxavia (Dublin) will start charter operations on behalf of Irish charter broker Aviajet later this year with a fleet of two A320-200s. Fly Globespan (B4/Edinburgh) is planning to start longhaul services from Glasgow to Florida in summer 2006. FlyMe (FLY/Gothenburg Landvetter) will start twice weekly B737-300 service from Gothenburg Landvetter to Nice on June 16. flynordic (LF/Umea) and Sterling European Airways (NB/Copenhagen Kastrup) have entered a codeshare agreement. flynordic has started selling seats on Sterling's routes from Stockholm Arlanda to Alicante, Barcelona, Malaga, Nice and Prague while Sterling now also sells flynordic's flights from Stockholm Arlanda to Barcelona, Berlin Tegel, Dublin and Tallinn and between Copenhagen and Tallinn. flynordic will also launch three times weekly MD-80 service from Stockholm Arlanda to Budapest and twice weekly service to Bordeaux on June 2. germanwings (4U/Cologne/Bonn) will add a third base at Berlin Schoenefeld on June 5 when it will launch three daily services to Dusseldorf and Munich, five weekly services to Stockholm Arlanda, four weekly services to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen and three weekly services to Ankara, Split and Zagreb. Helios Airways (ZU/Larnaca) will launch a weekly B737-800 service from Larnaca to Strasbourg on April 1. HollandExel (HXL/Amsterdam) has wet-leased a B767-300ER to Vietnam Airlines (VN/Hanoi). Iberia (IB/Madrid) has ordered 30 A320 family aircraft and secured an additional 49 options. Between 2006 and 2011 it will take delivery of 15 A318-100s, nine A320-200s and six A321-200s. Iberia is reportedly interested in acquiring a majority stake in Mexicana (MX/Mexico City). It will launch a daily flight from Barcelona to Verona on April 1 using Denim Air (3D/Eindhoven) Fokker 50s. Icelandair (FI/Reykjavik Keflavik) has placed an order for two B787-8s which are to be delivered in 2010. It will take delivery of the B757-200 which is currently being converted to a freighter for its subsidiary Bluebird Cargo (BF/Reykjavik Keflavik) and operate it for its own cargo division. Jet2 (Leeds/Bradford) has given up its Belfast Intl-Cork route. KLM (KL/Amsterdam) has leased a B737-800 from Transavia Airlines (HV/Amsterdam). KLM cityhopper (WA/Amsterdam) will add an ex-TAM Linhas Aéreas (JJ/Sao Paulo Congonhas) Fokker 100 to its fleet in April. It is also planning to acquire the Austrian Airlines (OS/Vienna) Fokker 70 which has not returned to service yet after a successful landing on a field near Munich last year. Kuzu Airlines Cargo (GO/Istanbul Ataturk) is planning to add new scheduled cargo flights from Istanbul Ataturk to Dubai and Kuwait using its fleet of A300B4-200F freighters. Lufthansa (LH/Frankfurt) and Swiss (LX/Zurich) have reportedly intensified merger talks. Lufthansa has signed a cooperation agreement with business jet operator NTA - NetJets Transportes Aéreos (NJE/Lisbon) and will start offering on demand business jet flights from and to its hub in Munich as of March 29. In other news, Lufthansa will give up its daily Munich-Riga flight by the end of March. Lufthansa will start twice weekdaily service from Dusseldorf to London City on April 18 using ATR 42-500s operated by Contact Air (KI/Stuttgart) and six times weekly service from Dusseldorf to Bucharest Otopeni on May 2 using Lufthansa CityLine (CL/Cologne/Bonn) CRJ-100s. Lufthansa is reportedly planning to sign a codeshare agreement with Carpatair (V3/Timisoara) and to start an own daily flight linking Munich and Carpatair´s hub in Timisoara in addition to the two daily flights operated by Carpatair. Luxair (LG/Luxembourg) has withdrawn its last Fokker 50 from service last week. Martinair (MP/Amsterdam) will base a B767-300ER in Brussels from May 1 to operate the longhaul charter programme of Thomas Cook Belgium. Meridiana (IG/Olbia) will resume daily MD-82 service from Naples to Paris CDG on March 24. It will also operate a six times weekly seasonal service from Olbia to Venice Marco Polo between June and September. Monarch Airlines (ZB/London Luton) has leased an ex-Volare Airlines (VA/Verona) A320-200. Montenegro Airlines (YM/Podgorica) will launch twice weekly Fokker 100 service from Podgorica to Vienna on June 25. MyAir (8I/Milan Orio al Serio) will start twice daily A320-200 service from Venice Marco Polo to Paris Orly on April 21. It is reportedly also planning to add new routes from Bologna to Paris Orly and from Venice Marco Polo to Berlin Tegel, Cagliari, Catania, Palermo and Stuttgart. Norwegian (DY/Oslo Gardermoen) will add two new routes between Oslo Gardermoen and Poland in mid-April. It will operate three weekly flights to Warsaw and two weekly flights to Krakow using B737-300s. Olympic Airlines (OA/Athens) has withdrawn two of its three A300-600s from service. Both aircraft will be sold to Iran Air (IR/Tehran). It will start daily B737-300 service from Athens to Paris Orly on May 1. Pulkovo Aviation Enterprise (FV/St. Petersburg) is expected to lease up to 18 An-148-100s. Rockhopper (XAX/Alderney) has wet-leased two Let 410s from Seagle Air (CGL/Bratislava). Ryanair (FR/Dublin) has ordered an additional 70 B737-800s and secured 70 more options. The aircraft will be delivered between 2008 and 2012. SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK/Copenhagen Kastrup) will start three times weekly Dash 8-400 service from Stockholm Arlanda to Birmingham on April 5. SkyEurope Airlines (NE/Bratislava) will start twice weekly B737-500 services from Bratislava and Budapest to Athens on June 6. It will however give up its Warsaw-Amsterdam route by the end of March and not start its planned routes from Warsaw to Copenhagen, Manchester and Nice as well as between Krakow and Nice. Skynet Airlines (SI/Shannon) will lease a single B767-200ER to start Moscow Domodedovo-Shannon-New York Newark flights on behalf of Polet (POT/Voronezh). SN Brussels Airlines (SN/Brussels) will resume up to five times weekly ARJ-85 service between Brussels and Naples on March 29. Sterling European Airways (NB/Copenhagen Kastrup) will operate a weekly seasonal B737-800 service between Gothenburg Landvetter and Rome Ciampino from April 25 through the end of October. It will however give up its Copenhagen-Milan Orio al Serio route by the end of the month. Swiss (LX/Zurich) will give up its Geneva-Paris CDG route in April in favour of a codeshare agreement with Air France (AF/Paris CDG). Thomson Airways (BY/London Luton) is reportedly considering to place an order for B787s. Transaero Airlines (UN/Moscow Domodedovo) will start weekly B737-400 service from Moscow Domodedovo to Berlin Schoenefeld on April 2. It is planning to start a new route from Moscow Domodedovo to Montreal Dorval later this year. In other news, it will acquire several ex-Virgin Atlantic (VS/London Heathrow) B747-200s. Transavia Airlines (HV/Amsterdam) will start four times weekly service from Amsterdam to Genoa and three times weekly service from Amsterdam to Reus on April 27. Truva (Istanbul Ataturk) is a new cargo carrier planning to start operations later this year using a fleet of DC-10-30F freighters. TUI Airlines Belgium (TUB/Brussels) will shortly take delivery of its first Fokker 100. Turkish Airlines (TK/Istanbul Ataturk) will lease three ex-Volare Airlines (VA/Verona) A320-200s, two ex-Volar Airlines (XO/Palma de Mallorca) A321-200s an ex-MyTravel Airways (VZ/Manchester) A321-200. UM Air (UF/Kiev Borispol) will start weekly DC-9-50 service from Simferopol to Cologne/Bonn on May 21. Virgin Express (TV/Brussels) will discontinue its codeshare agreement with SN Brussels Airlines (SN/Brussels) on the Brussels-Copenhagen route by the end of March. Volare Airlines (VA/Verona) is planning to resume operations with two A320-200s later this spring. Vueling Airlines (VLG/Barcelona) has signed a leasing contract for an additional six A320-200s. It will resume daily services from Barcelona and Valencia to Ibiza and launch daily flights from Bilbao to Rome Fiumicino and Valencia as well as five weekly services from Barcelona and Bilbao to Malaga. Windjet (IV/Catania) will lease an ex-Pacific Airlines (BL/Ho Chi Minh City) A320-200. Wizz Air (W6/Budapest) will give up its Warsaw-Dortmund route by the end of the month. It has also not taken up two A320-200s it had on order.
