Australia travel Best time of year
If one wanted to visit Darwin, Adelaide, Great Barrier Reef and Sidney
and Melbourne, what would be the best months to go?

Re: Australia travel Best time of year
I would recomend Febuary to April, reason is that our summer season [xmas
period] is too hot to comfortably enjoy enviroment.
So travelling in Autumn [Fall] is far more pleasant with all the usual
summer activities [swimming, surfing, bush walking etc] AND id Plan Darwin
LAST nearer to april cause its by far the hottest you'll encounter during
your entire stay. Either way. Enjoy Aus,You'll Find the ppl friendly n
relaxed.. Welcome... Rod

The north (Darwin, the reef) April - October. Definitely not November
- February in the wet.
The south - doesn't really matter depending on your interests. It's
cooler April -September but not cold by US or European standards.
Sydney people argue that Melbournew gets cold - but they are only 500
miles further north.
December and January is school holiday time and many coastal areas
will be crowded or need bookings; similar for Easter.
Cheers - Alan

Re: Australia travel Best time of year
If you look at the number of degrees from the equator you will find that
Maryborough (just North of Brisbane in Queensland) is about the same
distance from the equator as Miami in Florida.
Hench, the climate is similar but not the same.
