Maximum RPM Opens at Hard Rock Park
POV video:

That music you hear is the onboard sound system. If you ask me, the
ride is way too short. I wouldnt wait more than 30 min . for this.
Maybe Premier rides will expand upon this new ride system and build a
bigger one soon.

Re: Maximum RPM Opens at Hard Rock Park
It's a shame because this park is the closest to me by far but there
is no way I'm paying $50 plus to enter a park that basically has one
real coaster. These people are out of their minds...

I must admit, their coasters are VERY short. ALL of them. What
gives? THey are definitely operating under the facade rule. Make the
park LOOK good, but not really deliver. But parts of the park are
unbearably plain. Most of the coasters are just over dirt. And Max
RPM is laughably short. A grand total of 4 drops, and the last one is
pretty damn short. Does it use high friction wheels or something?
Is the park doing well? I agree they are overpriced, especially for
opening this year. Families are going to pull into MB with less money
than last year. $50 would be better spent at Magiquest.

The theme of every trip report I've seen is the place has been dead. I agree
with you that they have overpriced it.

Has anyone tried the dark ride "Nights in White Satin: The Trip"?
Easily the best attraction in the park for me.

The Myrtle Beach "season" just started last weekend. They had a
decent crowd Saturday even with threatening weather, and had the same
Sunday. Not huge by any means, but nowhere near dead.
$50 is what you pay for most of the major attractions in MB; Dixie
Stampede, One, etc. Everything at the beach costs more.
National advertising is scheduled to kick off July 4. They were
worried that the park wouldn't be finished to advertise outside of the
local area any earlier. But you can't escape the outdoor boards on
the way in and around town if you're there.
Still, if you go to the park for just the rides you will be
disappointed. It's so much more with live music, shows, and
"discoveries" in the details everywhere.
I think this is the first park with a generation gap - if you don't
enjoy rock and roll and only enjoy techno dance pop stuff you won't
find much to make you happy. But baby boomers and their kids and
grand kids are definitely at home here with plenty to do, enjoy and
explore.
