Default Toronto Santa Claus Parade

What is the best spot (least crowded, good vantage point) for watching
today's parade?
And, no, I don't mean from the comfort of your couch.

Thx.

Greetings

The parade definitely brings back memory. I used to watch the parade from
the window where my dad worked just before the end of the parade at the
old eaton's parking lot (where city hall is now).

When I was older and driving a cab, I would watch the parade's floats come
down to the Bloor Street starting point at 6 am from my cab. This gave me
a whole new perspective on the parade.

It's a little late for replies, but here goes. You can file this away for
next year.

Least crowded -- Almost all of the route is packed. but I'd guess that
somewhere on Bloor Street might be good. (Unfortunately, there isn't much
room due to the narrow sidewalks. The other place I can think of is on
Yonge Street from Richmond down to Front.

Most crowded will be at the top end of University and Queens Park Cres
where there is/are temporary bleacher seating. The TV crews are also in
this area, so you will hear all the bands playing for television.

To get a good vantage point, you've got to get there early! I think the
following locations are among the best. From the top of the northmost
bleacher. At the top of Queens Park Cres (on the war memorial) as the road
bends. On the Median strip at the top of University AVe. Other
intersections where the parade route changes streets.

btw. if you want to watch the parade again, it will air on CBS?? during
the US Thanksgiving day celebrations.
