This blog post is part of a series to share the cost of eating out and ordering food in 🇻🇳 Vietnam, so that you can see how far your money can go here. Vietnam currently offers exceptional value for money both for budget travelling and living as well as discounted high end dining (compared to the same level of quality of restaurants in the west)

This blog series will feature a variety of places for dinning out and ordering, and at different price point levels. The title of each blog post will let you know if the cost is low, medium, or high.

The grab app actually lists this at $$$ out of $$$$ on the price rating. But I am listing at Medium $$ as I believe that to be more accurate, though it may truly lie somewhere in-between the two. Mcdonald's in Vietnam is actually quite affordable, opposed to McDonald's in Thailand which I have found to be quite expensive (just a slight reduction to London prices in Thailand) and even though McDonald's is also more of a Premium offering in Vietnam, the cost of it is much lower.


Today's order was one on promotion. 





They do like sweet chilli sauce here, which is to be found in just about every restaurant. The McDonald's version of this is actually very tasty IMO. Sauces are provided complimentary:

*It is a good idea to get a bank account that offers 0% foreign exchange fees, and ideally a Mastercard as their interbank rates are every so slightly better than that of visa. 


5k dong was also tipped to the Grab driver as he was very friendly and also knew English. If you able to so it is nice to tip the grab drivers who you feel deserve it, even tipping a small amount of this adds up for them as they are only on a small salary from this job and some people do it in addition to their studies or other work. You can also tip more than this and I have done so on occasion, some people may also choose to tip on every ride/delivery which is also nice, though note tipping is not expected. It is nice to tip those who are friendly. Tips are done through the Grab app when you rate the driver, please do rate the driver 5* if they deserve it, as it is useful for them. Please think carefully before leaving low reviews as this can affect their employment.
